Job Description:
As a Copywriting Intern at Torch you will play a vital role in crafting content that informs, makes people laugh, think and even ask questions. This internship offers an opportunity to refine your writing skills, learn about different writing styles, and contribute to meaningful projects. This is an unpaid opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the editorial team to generate fresh and compelling ideas for articles, blog posts, social media content, and other written materials.
- Research and gather information from credible sources to support the creation of informative and well-researched content.
- Write and edit content with a keen focus on grammar, punctuation, tone, and style consistency.
- Adapt writing style to suit different platforms and target audiences.
- Assist in creating, scheduling, and optimizing content for various digital platforms.
- Learn and adhere to SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines.
- Participate in content brainstorming sessions, offering creative ideas and insights.
- Review and proofread content to ensure accuracy and alignment with the Torch's messaging.
- Collaborate with designers, photographers, and other team members to enhance written content with visuals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and writing techniques to continually improve your craft.
Qualifications:
- Passion for writing, storytelling, and effective communication.
- Excellent writing skills with attention to detail and an understanding of grammar and style rules.
- Ability to adapt writing style for different tones, audiences, and platforms.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and content optimization is a plus.
- Proficiency in proofreading and editing.
- Effective time management and organizational skills to manage multiple writing projects.
- Openness to feedback and willingness to learn and grow as a writer.
- Experience with blogging, social media, or other writing-related activities is encouraged but not mandatory.
