Position: Content Creator Intern

Torch is excited to offer a Content Creator Internship for individuals passionate about storytelling, creativity, and digital media. You’ll be creating content that engages, entertains, informs and excites, your audience! Torch is a cultural media agency that centers HBCU culture while connecting their campuses and students to resources that help them elevate their experiences. It is our mission to create a digital platform that unifies all HBCUs and creates space for us to appreciate the accomplishments and uniqueness of our culture.
Job Description:
As a Content Creator Intern at Torch, you will be immersed in the world of content production, gaining hands-on experience in creating compelling and engaging multimedia content for various platforms. This internship provides a unique opportunity to enhance your creative skills and contribute to impactful projects. This is an unpaid opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop content ideas and concepts aligned with HBCU culture.
- Create a variety of content, including but not limited to blog posts, social media posts and videos.
- Assist in planning and executing photoshoots, video shoots, and other content production sessions.
- Edit and enhance visual and written content using relevant software tools.
- Help maintain content calendars and schedules to ensure timely delivery of content.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of content using relevant analytics tools.
- Stay updated on emerging content trends, social media platforms, and digital marketing strategies.
Qualifications:
- Passion for content creation, storytelling, and digital media.
- Creativity and the ability to generate fresh, innovative content ideas.
- Basic skills in graphic design, video editing, or photography are a plus.
- Familiarity with social media platforms(Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok), and content management systems.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with an eye for detail and grammar.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Cap Cut and Canva is a plus.
- Portfolio showcasing any relevant content creation work or projects is encouraged.
